More Than Cymbals — A Legacy Forged by Family
The story of Amedia Cymbals begins in 1995 in Istanbul, when Ahmet Baykusak met legendary cymbalsmith Eremya Arzat, who had previously worked with Zildjian. Under Eremya’s mentorship, Ahmet began learning the centuries-old art of handcrafting cymbals — not just the technique, but the soul of the craft.
Ahmet didn’t walk this path alone. Over time, he brought in his brother Hamdusena, his other brother Cuneyt, and his uncle Saban, teaching them everything he had learned. Together, they didn’t just form a team — they built a family united by sound.
In 2005, they launched their own brand: Amedia Cymbals. Built on a foundation of tradition, passion, and dedication, Amedia quickly became a name that symbolized authentic Turkish cymbal craftsmanship.
Throughout this journey, Eremya Arzat remained a guiding force — a mentor, a supporter, and a friend. His influence helped shape the spirit and standards of Amedia. Though he has since passed away, his legacy lives on in every cymbal they create.
Today, Amedia Cymbals stands as a family-run company, blending ancient methods with the needs of modern drummers. Every cymbal is 100% handmade — cast, hammered, and lathed with heart and heritage.
To us, a cymbal is more than an instrument. It’s a tradition, a feeling, and a way of life.
